Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ)

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is responsible for issuing asbestos and lead licenses for any worker who performs activities in these areas.

A training-approved program must be completed and presented to the Department for both categories. EPA accreditation courses are also valid but must have 2 hours of training by an approved provider for either the asbestos or lead category. Nevertheless, there is one examination for the Lead-Based Paint license.
