I would recommend you to contact the State Licensing Board. Since your background is more for Air Conditioning, you would like to confirm it with them if possible for you to obtain the Fire Sprinkler License.

I just need to get licensed to do paver and brick walkways, driveway pavers, paver pool decks, repairs, patio pavers, retaining walls, summer kitchen, pressure washing, parking lots, steps, sealing. With your BS in Civil Engineering with a 3.7 GPA from Syracuse, You will be exempt from taking the trade knowledge portion of the exam.

It will depend on the state and county you are located in, and if your license is still active you will not need to retake the Business and Law exam, only the trade exam. As well, you will need paver experience for the Paver Interlocking Contractor License.
You must qualify under one of the options for the Endorsement in Florida. If you do not qualify you will need to take the Trade and Business to be able to obtain the Contractor License. In that case, you will contact Pearson Vue to schedule your test, once you pass the exam, you will apply with DBPR in Florida, and they may ask you for proof of experience. For the Florida Fire Protection I Contractor License, you need four years of verifiable experience in the full-time employment of a Fire Protection System Contractor I.
