The Asbestos Abatement Worker License enables you to:

• Perform activities while employed by a Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor or Asbestos Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contractor, and at-all-times supervised by a Asbestos Abatement Supervisor or Asbestos O&M Supervisor
• Load or unload asbestos in a public building
• Cooperate with DSHS personnel during inspections and investigations
• Complete asbestos-containing-material activities, including:
  • Repair
  • Cleaning
  • Installation
  • Renovation
  • Maintenance

How to Get the Asbestos Abatement Worker License in Texas?

1. Comply with the requirements set forth for Asbestos Abatement Worker:
   • Color photograph of the applicant’s face with white background, two-by-two-inches
   • Physician’s Written Statement signed within the last 12 months by a Doctor
   • Initial Asbestos Worker ID and Training Certificate (optional)
   • Proof of any Asbestos Worker Refresher Training Certificates and Training IDs (if relevant) acquired prior to application submission
2. Determine if the Asbestos Abatement Worker Application is available online
   • If available, use the Regulatory Services Online Licensing System platform
   • If not available, see the Applications and Forms page to print an Application Form and submit it by mail
3. Pay the corresponding application fee
4. After the application has been validated, expect a response from the Department
