Texas Asbestos Abatement Worker License
The Asbestos Abatement Worker License enables you to:
- Perform activities while employed by a Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor or Asbestos Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contractor, and at-all-times supervised by a Asbestos Abatement Supervisor or Asbestos O&M Supervisor
- Load or unload asbestos in a public building
- Cooperate with DSHS personnel during inspections and investigations
- Complete asbestos-containing-material activities, including:
- Repair
- Cleaning
- Installation
- Renovation
- Maintenance
How to Get the Asbestos Abatement Worker License in Texas?
- Comply with the requirements set forth for Asbestos Abatement Worker:
- Color photograph of the applicant’s face with white background, two-by-two-inches
- Physician’s Written Statement signed within the last 12 months by a Doctor
- Initial Asbestos Worker ID and Training Certificate (optional)
- Proof of any Asbestos Worker Refresher Training Certificates and Training IDs (if relevant) acquired prior to application submission
- Determine if the Asbestos Abatement Worker Application is available online
- If available, use the Regulatory Services Online Licensing System platform
- If not available, see the Applications and Forms page to print an Application Form and submit it by mail
- Pay the corresponding application fee
- After the application has been validated, expect a response from the Department
