Virginia Lead Inspector License

The Lead Inspector License allows you to do the following work:

  • Conduct and lead inspections
  • Abatement clearance testing
  • Surface-by-surface investigation:
    • Determine the presence of lead-based paint
    • Provisions of a report explaining the results of the investigation

How to Get the Lead Inspector License in Virginia?

  1. Fill and submit the application to the Board for Asbestos, Lead and Home Inspectors, with the corresponding fee to:

  2. Apply for eligibility with the Department
  3. Apply for the PSI© Lead Inspector and Virginia Law examinations
