ICC® has started the process and meetings to consider the modification for the 7th Edition (2020) FBC and update it to the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code. Public input is accepted for proposals, comments, and concerns regarding the draft of the 8th Edition FBC. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and will be accepted through January 31st, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. The 2023 Florida Building Code (8th Edition) is scheduled for December 31st, 2023, and will be effective six months after publication, leaning into July 2024.
