Texas On-Site Sewage Facility System (OSSF) Apprentice License

The On-Site Sewage Facility System (OSSF) Apprentice License allows you to do the following work:

  • Represent the supervising installer at the job site
  • Perform OSSF installation services under the constant, direct supervision of a licensed Class I or Class II Installer, either on-site or by radio or other means of direct communications

If supervision is not on-site, the license installer must visit the job site at least once each work day to verify the work of the apprentice is being performed in accordance with State or Authorized Agent requirements.

How to Get the On-Site Sewage Facility System (OSSF) Apprentice License in Texas?

  • Comply with the age requirement, which is 18
  • Access the OLEA portal by creating an account on the TCEQ SUNSS platform and selecting the corresponding application form for the On-Site Sewage Facility System (OSSF) Apprentice Registration
  • Pay for the corresponding fee through the TCEQ SUNSS platform
  • Await for the notification email from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in the following three to four weeks
