Oregon Limited Building Maintenance Electrician (BME) Contractor License

The Limited Building Maintenance Electrician (BME) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

Maintain, repair, and replace:
- Electrical appliances
- Light switches
- Light fixtures
- Fans
- Receptacles
- Fluorescent ballasts
Service electrical installations, not exceeding 300 volts to ground, on the premises of:
- Commercial office buildings
- State or a local government facilities

The Limited Building Maintenance Electrician (BME) Contractor License authorizes you to work under the supervision of an unlicensed owner of a commercial office building.

How to Get the Limited Building Maintenance Electrician (BME) Contractor’s License in Oregon?

Fill out the application form:
- Electrical Licenses Application Form
Complete a work history document and fill out the experience verification form:
- Electrical Experience Verification Form
Sign an applicant’s affidavit and choose the preferred examination location
Mail or fax a sealed packet of all the previous documents to:
