The Landscape Contractor License allows you to complete the following tasks:

    How to Get the Landscape Contractor’s License in North Carolina?

    1. Meet the eligibility requirements
      • Be at least 18 years of age
      • Be of good moral character according to the NC Code of Conduct
    2. Complete the Notarized North Carolina Landscape Contractors’ License Exam Application and send it to ​​PO Box 20875, Raleigh, NC 27619, with the following documentation:
      • Correspondent fee
      • Three (3) signed personal reference letters and Two (2) professional signed references letters
        • Add complete contact information, including name, zip, state, city, address, telephone number, and email address
        • Personal and professional letters must be different
      • Evidence of Business Identification
      • Original, signed $10,000 NC Landscape Contractor’s Surety Compliance Bond, or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit from a financial institution with the according criteria
    3. Submit the fee and pass the Licensing Exam administered by the NC Landscape Contractors’ Licensing Board
      • The exam must be taken and passed within one year from the date the application is approved
    4. Receive the Board’s notification of the approval of the exam and submit the licensing fee to become officially licensed

    The applicant who holds an individual license and aims to open their own business may be required to apply for a Corporate License
