New Mexico Plumber (JP) Journeyman License

The Plumber (JP) Journeyman License allows you to do the following:

Work under a (MM-1) Plumbing or (MM-98) Mechanical License performing the following:
- Pipe fitting and repairing of apparatuses for:
  - Water supply
  - Sanitation
  - Heating systems

How to Get the Plumber (JP) Journeyman License in New Mexico?

Satisfy the experience requirement:
- At least two years of documented Plumber (JP) Journeyman experience
Take and pass the following exams:
- New Mexico Plumber (JP) Journeyman Trade Exam.
- Plumber Practical Examination Journeyman
Submit a complete notarized package with the following documents and send it to PSI©:

Once the application packet has been approved and eligibility cleared, the license will be issued via USPS to the home address provided. (Licenses are effective only for three years, and a Contractor License Renewal Form must be submitted prior to expiration during each cycle).

New Mexico's Regulation & Licensing Department requires all candidates applying for the Plumber (JP) Journeyman License to take the Plumber Practical Examination Journeyman as part of the licensing process.
