How to Get the Master Plumber Class I Restricted License in Georgia?

  1. Meet the education and experience requirements:
    • Minimum of five years of experience, with at least two of those years consisting of primary experience as a licensed journeyman plumber, plumbing contractor, plumbing foreman, plumbing superintendent, or military plumber
  2. Present the documents listed below to the Georgia State Division of Master and Journeyman Plumbers:
    • Background Check (it can be obtained at the local law enforcement office)
    • Three notarized references from people who know the candidate’s plumber experience to whom the Division may refer. Applicants must submit the Reference Form found within the application
    • Disciplinary Action/Sanctions (if applicable)
    • Applicant Affidavit of Citizenship
