The Master Plumber Class I Restricted License allows you to do plumbing services for:
- Single-family dwellings
- One-level dwellings
- Commercial structures
How to Get the Master Plumber Class I Restricted License in Georgia?
- Meet the education and experience requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience, with at least two of those years consisting of primary experience as a licensed journeyman plumber, plumbing contractor, plumbing foreman, plumbing superintendent, or military plumber
- Present the documents listed below to the Georgia State Division of Master and Journeyman Plumbers:
- Background Check (it can be obtained at the local law enforcement office)
- Three notarized references from people who know the candidate’s plumber experience to whom the Division may refer. Applicants must submit the Reference Form found within the application
- Disciplinary Action/Sanctions (if applicable)
- Applicant Affidavit of Citizenship
- Qualified alien documentation
- Secure and Verifiable Documents
- Immigration Documents (If applicable)
- Copy of a current and unexpired photo ID card showing brazing and installation expiration dates (If holding a Medical Gas Certification)
- Expect the Division’s response to register for the examination. The Division will get in touch with AMP/PSI© to inform them of the approval
- Take and pass the exam
- Once approved, expect the Division to issue the license
