Visit the CT Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) website to read the eligibility criteria, prerequisites, and documentation requirements for obtaining a Radio Certified Electronic Technician (R-2) License. Follow the process held in the Licensing for Television and Radio Work

- Criminal Conviction Worksheet, when requested
- Original copy of the letter of apprenticeship completion issued by the CT DOL
- Receipt for payment of the non-refundable application fee by check and/or money order to the "Treasurer, State of Connecticut"
- For military service experience and training related to this application, contact the CT Department of Labor at (860) 263-6128 to request a recommendation
- For equivalency and training, submit a completed application with any of the following pertaining to the Radio Certified Electronic Technician (R-2):
  - Certificates from completed courses
  - Educational transcripts or diplomas
  - Notarized letters from employers demonstrating on-the-job training
  - Copies of any licenses you may hold in another state
Schedule the Radio Certified Electronic Technician (R-2) administered by PSI© in the desired location and time and pay the examination fee after receiving the DCP examination approval (the exam must be taken within one year from the date of approval):
- Take and pass the Radio Certified Electronic Technician (R-2) exam
- If the exam is passed, submit the license fee along with the exam passing score results to obtain the official license
