Permits

Building

All permit applications must be completed prior to acceptance. A complete application shall include the following:

• Residential
• Commercial
• New
• Repair
• Alteration
• Addition
• Demolition

Security Alarm

All permit applications must be completed prior to acceptance. A complete application shall include the following:

• Permit Application completed, signed and notarized
• Copy of applicable contractor’s license issued by the State of Florida
• A site specific notarized power of attorney shall be required from the licensed contractor if he/she appoints an employee of his/her company to sign the permit application as the contractor
• Certificate of insurance indicating General Liability insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder
• Certificate of insurance indicating worker’s compensation insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder, or a copy of a worker’s compensation exemption issued by the State of Florida (must be submitted with each application if contractor is the applicant)
• Two (2) complete copies of the manufacturer’s specifications and installation instructions

Residential

All permit applications must be completed prior to acceptance. A complete application shall include the following:

• Permit Application completed, signed, and notarized
• Completed and signed Right-of-Way Application
• Copy of the contractor’s license issued by the State of Florida (if contractor is applicant)
• A site specific notarized power of attorney shall be required from the licensed contractor if he/she appoints an employee of his/her company to sign the permit application as the contractor
• Certificate of insurance indicating General Liability insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder
• Certificate of insurance indicating worker’s compensation
• Completed and signed Owner Builder Statement / Affidavit
• Approval letter from sanitary sewer provider
• Copy of the onsite sewage disposal system
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of signed and sealed building construction plans
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of signed and sealed site / plot plans
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of signed and sealed floor and roof truss engineering
• Two (2) copies of completed and signed Statewide Product Approval Specification Form
• Two (2) copies of the manufacturer’s installation instructions
• Two (2) copies of completed and signed energy and equipment sizing calculations

Siding

All permit applications must be completed prior to acceptance. A complete application shall include the following:

• Permit Application completed, signed and notarized
• Copy of applicable contractor’s license issued by the State of Florida
• A site specific notarized power of attorney shall be required from the licensed contractor if he/she appoints an employee of his/her company to sign the permit application as the contractor
• Certificate of insurance indicating General Liability insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder
• Certificate of insurance indicating worker’s compensation insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder, or a copy of a worker’s compensation exemption issued by the State of Florida
• Completed and signed Owner Builder Statement / Affidavit
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of the floor plan indicating the locations of the siding installation
• Completed and signed Statewide Product Approval Specification Form
• Two (2) copies of the manufacturer’s installation instructions

Solar Heating

All permit applications must be complete prior to acceptance. A completed application shall include the following:

• Two (2) copies of the manufacturer’s installation instructions for the equipment and any appliances
• Two (2) copies of the component identification sheets
• Two (2) copies of the Florida Solar Energy Center summary information sheet

Wall

All permit applications must be complete prior to acceptance. A completed application shall include the following:

• Permit Application completed, signed and notarized
• Copy of applicable contractor’s license issued by the State of Florida
• A site specific notarized power of attorney shall be required from the licensed contractor if he/she appoints an employee of his/her company to sign the permit application as the contractor
• Certificate of insurance indicating General Liability insurance coverage and naming the Town of Windermere as certificate holder
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of site plans indicating proposed location
• Two (2) paper sets and one (1) electronic set of the signed and sealed engineered drawings

Windows / Doors

All permit applications must be complete prior to acceptance. A completed application shall include the following:

• Two (2) copies of the manufacturer’s installation instructions
• Two (2) copies of the floor plan indicating size, type and location of windows/doors
• Completed and signed Owner Builder Statement / Affidavit
• Permit Application completed, signed and notarized
