Specialty Contractor Registration

In the city of Fort Myers, all contractors including specialty contractors must be currently registered with the City of Fort Myers prior to issuance of permits.

Please fill out and return ORIGINAL application along with copy of the following items and submit it to the Fort Myers building division:

• State of Florida registration/certification license copy
• Workers compensation certificate or workers compensation exemption from State of Florida
• General Liability Insurance Certificate (City of Fort Myers as certificate holder)
• Competency card from Lee County (Registered and specialty contractors only)
• There is no fee for processing registration and renewal
