Permit

Permitting - Building Permits Required Documentation for Permit Application: The applicant must provide sufficient documentation so that the Building Official can conduct a thorough plan review. Depending on the scope of the building project, some or all of the following documents may be required with the application:

  • Site Plan
  • Building Elevations
  • Mechanical Plan
  • Signage Plan
  • Structural Plan
  • Electrical Plan
  • Foundation Plan
  • Landscaping Plan
  • Grading and Drainage Plan

Commercial and subdivision projects must submit a Design Review Application prior to applying for a Building Permit. It is advisable to consult with the Building Official prior to submitting your plan. Missing or incomplete documents will delay the issuance of a Building Permit.

All new construction, additions, alterations, repairs, service equipment change outs, and construction in general cannot be built until a plan of the proposed work is submitted to the building official and a permit is issued. That includes, but is not limited to, fences, swimming pools, parking lots, driveways, etc.
