Texas Plumber Apprentice License

The Plumber Apprentice License allows you to do the following work:

• Learn and assist with the installation of plumbing under the direct supervision of a Licensed Plumber
• Perform manual tasks, such as digging trenches, if a licensee is not present

How to Get a Plumber Apprentice License in Texas?

1. Meet the following Eligibility Requirements:
   • Be at least 16 years old
   • Be a citizen or a national of the United States, or an alien or non-immigrant
2. Submit an Apprentice Registration to the Board with the following documents:
   • Plumbers Apprentice License Application
3. Send the Fingerprint Information (this is a one-time requirement, there is no need to resubmit if done in the past)
4. Pay the corresponding registration fee to the TSBPE through their Online Licensing System platform
5. Expect an answer from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) after the licensure process has been successfully completed
