Texas Electrical Apprentice License
The Electrical Apprentice License permits you to perform the activities listed below exclusively under the on-site supervision of a Licensed Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Residential Wireman:
- Service entrance conductors
- Install, maintain, or extend:
- Electrical wiring systems
- Appurtenances, apparatus, or equipment used in connection with the use of electrical energy in, on, outside, or attached to a building, residence, structure, property, or premises
How to Get the Electrical Apprentice License in Texas?
- Meet the minimum age requirement, which is 18. There are no specific educational or experience qualifications required
- Fill out an online application form; a non-refundable fee must be covered
- Receive a license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), which will be valid for one year from the date the process has been validated and completed
