Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician License

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician License enables the holder to do the following:

• Assist a Licensed Contractor with any maintenance or repairs needed for air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Work under the supervision of a Licensed Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor

How to Get the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician License in Texas?

1. Be over the age of 18
2. Send the application either online, or by carefully filling out the Registration Form and following each one of the indications
3. Pay the corresponding fee. If applying by printing the form, send your completed application and required documents to the Department’s postal address:
   • P.O. Box 12157 - Austin, TX 78711-2157
4. Await for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) notification once the process has been fully validated. Do take into account that the duration for Technician License lasts one year from the date of issue
