Oregon Asbestos Abatement Certified Worker License
The Asbestos Abatement Certified Worker License allows you to do the following work:
- Take part in asbestos removal projects
- Carry out subsequent project functions:
- Repair
- Salvage
- Disposal
- Removal
- Handling
- Enclosure
- Encapsulation
How to Get the Asbestos Abatement Certified Worker’s License in Oregon?
- Contact one of the Accredited Asbestos Training Providers by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality
- Ask to take the one-day Oregon refresher class if you already hold a worker certification from another state, if not,
- Complete an accredited training course consisting of at least five training days by the accredited training provider
- Attend and fully participate in the classes to successfully achieve a passing score on the closed book examination
- Receive a certificate of course completion issued by the course provider after the requirements are fulfilled
- Fill in the needed information in order to create your own DEQ account by visiting Your DEQ Online
- Complete the application form as stated by the Department
- Send the application to the selected training provider, including the following:
- Copy of your course certificate or state-issued card
- Evidence of having completed the supervisor-level training and the examination
- Pay the required fee and receive a one-year certification card issued by the provider once the application is validated
