The Structural Pest Control Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

  • Fumigation of:
    • Any structure
    • Enclosed space
    • Any compartment
    • To control:
      • Insects
      • Rodents
      • Other pest
  • Household pest control by any method other than fumigation, to control:
    • Cockroaches
    • Silverfish
    • Fleas
    • Ants
    • Rodents
    • Birds
  • Wood-destroying organism control by any means other than fumigation, to control:
    • Termites
    • Wood destroying fungi in structures and adjacent outside areas
    • Powder post and wood boring beetles

How to Get the Structural Pest Control Contractor’s License in Georgia?

  1. Be an employee of a licensed structural pest control company
  2. Complete 10 hours of classroom training and 70 hours of on-the-job experience with a certified operator or registered employee
  3. Create an account in the Georgia Department of Agriculture's Commercial and Structural Pest Management Testing System to schedule an exam and print an application
  4. Give your application to a Designated Certified Operator (DCO) for signature
  5. Bring your application and fee to the scheduled exam location and complete the exam
  6. Access the exam results instantly
  7. Provide the exam report and application to the Designated Certified Operator to complete after passing the test. Mail to the Department of Agriculture (GDA) and include the fee payment

If you fail the exam, it is possible to retake it before a two-day waiting period. If you fail a third time, you must repeat the 10 hours of training before retaking the exam.
