Georgia Lead Services Risk Assessor Contractor License
The Lead Services Risk Assessor Contractor License allows you to do the following work:
- Risk assessments conduction
- Abatement clearance testing
- Sampling for the presence of lead in:
- Paint
- Dust
- Soil
How to Get the Lead Services Risk Assessor Contractor’s License in Georgia?
- Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience in a related field
- An Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience in a related field
- A certification as an industrial hygienist, PE, registered architect and/or certification in a related engineering/health/ environmental field
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience in a related field
- Attend the Initial Inspector and the Risk Assessor Training given by an Accredited Provider
- Register for and pass the LEHARisk Assesor examination with Pearson Vue©
- Send an application through the Georgia Environmental Protection Division Online System (GEOS) and pay the corresponding fees
- Attach the following documents to the application:
- A color headshot photo
- Training certificate(s)
- Work history/education documentation
- Exam approval certification
- Await for the Lead-Based Paint Program to issue the license depending on the payment type chosen and workload. ACH payments are processed quicker. Note that this may take up to 2 weeks
