Georgia Lead Services Project Designer License

The Lead Services Project Designer License allows you to Plan and prepare:

  • Abatement project designs
  • Occupancy protection plans
  • Abatement reports

How to Get the Lead Services Project Designer’s License in Georgia?

  1. Comply with the education and experience requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related profession
    • One year of experience in building construction & design or a related field; OR 4 years of experience in building construction & design or a related field
  2. Attend the Initial Inspector and the Project Designer Training given by an Accredited Provider
  3. Register for and pass the LEHA Inspector Examination with Pearson Vue©
  4. Send an application through the Georgia Environmental Protection Division Online System (GEOS) and pay the corresponding fees
  5. Attach the following documents to the application:
    • A color headshot photo
    • Training certificate(s)
    • Work history/education documentation
    • Exam approval certification
  6. Await for the Lead-Based Paint Program to issue the license depending on the payment type chosen and workload. ACH payments are processed quicker. Note that this may take up to 2 weeks
