Georgia Elevator Certificate of Authority License
The Elevator Certificate of Authority License allows you to do the installation, alteration, repair, maintenance, and service of:
- Elevators
- Escalators
- Moving walks
- Dumbwaiters
- Material lifts
- Residential elevators
- Platform (wheelchair) lifts
- Stairway chairlifts
How to Get the Elevator Certificate of Authority’s License in Georgia?
- Create an account on the OCI Citizenserve site
- Choose the desired classification:
- Class I
- Class II
- Class III
- Class IIIR
- Class IR
- Complete the online application and submit the required documentation:
- Citizenship Affidavit
- Copy of the front and back of a Secure and Verifiable documents
- Documentation of Training
- General Liability Insurance (including Product Liability). Must be a minimum of $500,000 for class III and $1,000,000 for Class I & II
- Documentation of Qualifications
- Await the Office of Insurance & Safety Fire Commissioner's response regarding the Certificate
