Georgia Drilling Contractor License
The Drilling Contractor License allows you to do the following work under the direction of a professional geologist or a professional engineer:
- Drilling wells
- Boreholes
- Coreholes
- Other than water wells or geothermal boreholes
How to Get the Drilling Contractor’s License in Georgia?
- Fulfill a Registration Form
- Complete a Performance Bond or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit for a minimum of $15,000
- Submit both documents to:

Please note that Drilling Contractors working under a professional geologist or an engineer and performing work on structures other than water wells must submit all the required documentation.
