Connecticut Driller Trainee License
The Driller Trainee License allows you to perform the following:
- Work for which they are being trained
- Only while in the presence and under the supervision of a Registered Contractor Driller
- Minimal cleaning work
- While not in the presence of such Supervising Contractor or Driller
How to Get the Driller Trainee’s License in Connecticut?
- Review the requirements and visit the CT Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) website and read the eligibility criteria, prerequisites, and documentation requirements for obtaining a Driller Trainee License. Follow the process held in the Well Drilling licenses application path
- Apply online in the State of Connecticut's eLicense website or complete the Occupational Trade Well Driller Application
- Fill out and submit a Criminal Conviction Worksheet when requested
- For military service experience and training related to this application, contact the CT Department of Labor at (860) 263-6128 to request a recommendation
- Pay the non-refundable application fee by check and/or money order to the "Treasurer, State of Connecticut"
- Submit by mail the completed application, the appropriate required documentation for the license type, and the correspondent fee receipt to the DCP official email address:
