Connecticut Crane Operator Contractor License
The Crane Operator Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

- Hoisting equipment
- Application of:
- Load chart information
- Safe shutdown
- Securing procedures
- Recognize all items required in a shift inspection
How to Get the Crane Operator License in Connecticut?
- Visit the CT Department of Administrative Services (DAS) website to read the eligibility criteria, prerequisites, and documentation requirements for obtaining a Crane Operator Contractor License. Follow the process held in the Apply for a Crane Operator License, Registration, Renewal and Re-Testing
- Register to create an account with Connecticut's eLicense Site and fill out the Crane Operator license application
- Pay the corresponding fee of the application to the DAS
- Meet the requirements of the Department of Administrative Services:
- At least eighteen years of age
- Minimum of two years work experience
- Passing grade of written and practical examination
- Complete the Apprentice Employment & Supervision Certification by printing or typing all information. Upload a signed copy at the State of Connecticut’s eLicense Website
- Await the response from the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for confirmation if the license will be issued. The applicant will receive the Crane Operator license via mail
