- Documentation of not less than four years of recent, active experience in the elevator industry (maintenance, service/repair, or any combination thereof), verified by current and previous employers authorized to conduct business in the State, on an affidavit; and pass a written competency exam approved or provided by the West Virginia Division of Labor
