The Manufactured Home (MHC) Contractor License allows you to do the following:

• Employ a qualified Manufactured Housing Installer certified by the Department of Housing and Community

How to Get the Manufactured Home (MHC) Contractor’s License in Virginia?

1. To apply, candidates must request a certificate from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD)

   1. Sign in or create an account in the Virginia Learning Center
   2. Choose the DHCD – Virginia Building Code Academy
   3. Type “Manufactured Housing” in the search box
   4. Complete the three modules
   5. Fill out and print the 3 certificates
   6. Send the certificates and fee to:

2. Fill out the Manufactured Home (MHC) license application form
3. Send the form and payment to:
