Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE)

The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) is an organization that regulates several professions and is in charge of the licensing, certification, and professional regulation of landscape architects.

The organization was established in 1937 by the 45th Legislature in the wake of the New London School explosion. The Senate confirmed the nine members of the Board after the Governor of Texas appointed them.

Landscape Architects Licenses

Landscape architecture is the art and science of landscape analysis, planning, and design. It involves preserving, enhancing, and arranging landforms, natural systems, features, and plantings, including ground and water forms. It also consists of the formulation of graphic and written criteria to govern the planning and design of landscape construction development programs and field observation of landscape site construction, revegetation, and maintenance.
