Residential contractors can engage in construction, remodeling, repair, or improvement of one-family, two-family, or three-family residences not exceeding two (2) habitable stories above no more than one uninhabitable story and accessory use structure in connection therewith. As regulated under Florida Statute, a person who has passed a competency examination as a Residential Contractor may perform these or related tasks and may supervise people in his employ in the execution of these tasks.

classesThis exams tests candidate's knowledge of payroll taxes, workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, lien laws and other laws or subjects that will affect their daily operations as contractors. All contractors need to take and pass this exam.
