Oregon Limited Residential Electrician (LR) Contractor License

The Limited Residential Electrician (LR) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

  • Electrical installations in structures of a maximum of three floors, such as:
    • One-family, two-family, and multi-family dwelling units
    • Townhouses
    • Apartment houses
    • Non-transient congregate living facilities

A Limited Residential Electrician (LR) Contractor must work under the supervision of a General Supervising Electrician (S).

How to Get the Limited Residential Electrician (LR) Contractor’s License in Oregon?

  1. Fill out the application form:
  2. Complete a work history document and fill out the experience verification form:
  3. Sign an applicant’s affidavit and choose the preferred examination location
  4. Mail or fax a sealed packet of all the previous documents to:
