The Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT) License allows you to do the following work:

• Renewable energy system installations

A Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT) must work under a Limited Renewable Energy (CLR) Contractor, or an Electrical (C) Contractor.

How to Get the Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT) License in Oregon?

1. Fill out the application form:
   • Electrical Licenses Application Form
2. Complete a work history document and fill out the experience verification form:
   • Electrical Experience Verification Form
3. Sign an applicant’s affidavit and choose the preferred examination location
4. Mail or fax a sealed packet of all the previous documents to:
   Oregon Building Codes Division

   Fax: 503-378-2322
5. Schedule, pay, and take the examination administered by the Building Codes Division. For more information on the test, refer to the study guide:
