Oregon Lead Abatement Contractor License

The Lead Abatement Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

  • Lead-based paint abatement related tasks, such as:
    • Disposal
    • Cleanup
    • Preparation
    • Removal of paint and dust
    • Encapsulation of lead-based paint
    • Removal or permanent covering of soil
    • Permanent enclosure of lead-based paint
    • Post-abatement clearance testing activities
    • Replacement of painted surfaces or fixtures
    • Participating in approved abatement removal projects

The Lead Abatement Contractor License DOES NOT allow you to do the following work:

  • Lead-based paint abatement does not include tasks, such as:
    • Restoration
    • Remodeling
    • Landscaping
    • Interim controls
    • Operation activities
    • Maintenance activities
    • Other measures that temporarily reduce lead-based paint hazards

How to Get the Lead Abatement Contractor’s License in Oregon?

  1. Register the business applying for the license and choose the application type:
    • Sole Proprietor
    • Partnership
    • Corporation
    • LLC
