The Boiler Class 5 Pressure Piping Mechanic (CL5) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

  • Fabricate, install, alter and repair pressure piping
  • Install, assemble and repair cast iron sectional boilers
  • Install boilers or pressure vessels by attachment of piping connections
  • Class 5 boilermakers may also carry out the tasks allowed under the Boiler Class 4 Boilermaker (CL4) if:
    • Work is only done under the supervision of a qualified licensed person
    • The individual qualifies for the supervisor's employer's welding procedures

How to Get the Boiler Class 5 Pressure Piping Mechanic (CL5) Contractor’s License in Oregon?

  3. Sign an applicant’s affidavit and choose the preferred examination location
  4. Mail or fax a sealed packet of all the previous documents to:
