Oregon Boiler Class 4 Boilermaker (CL4) Contractor License
The Boiler Class 4 Boilermaker (CL4) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:
- Installing, altering, and/or repairing both boilers or pressure vessels (excluding non-boiler external piping) by welding or other methods of attachment
- Class 4 boilermakers may also carry out the types of tasks/duties allowed under the Boiler Class 5 Pressure Piping Mechanic (CL5) License if:
- Work is only done under the supervision of a qualified licensed person
- The individual qualifies to the supervisor's employer's welding procedures
How to Get the Boiler Class 4 Boilermaker (CL4) Contractor’s License in Oregon?

- Complete a work history document and fill out the experience verification form:
- Sign an applicant’s affidavit and choose the preferred examination location
- Mail or fax a sealed packet of all the previous documents to:
