New Mexico Water Well Pump Installer (ES-10) License

The Water Well Pump Installer (ES-10) License allows you to do the following work:

• Residential water well pumps, 120/240 volts or less, single phase 15 HP or less
• Work with water well pump systems:
  • Installation
  • Maintenance
  • Repairing or replacement of electrical equipment
  • Wiring
  • Accessories
• Subpanels, luminaires, and receptacle outlets installed within the well pit or well enclosure
• Enclosure; branch circuit or feeder conductors from the service equipment or panel board to the well pump location
• Incidental excavation
• Trenching
• Solar photo-voltaic arrays 5 kW or less when dedicated to pumping equipment

Does not include electrical systems over 240 volts, pumps over 15 HP, electrical services, building wiring, or any other electrical wiring.

How to Get the Water Well Pump Installer (ES-10) License in New Mexico?

1. Apply for eligibility throughPSI©:
   
   • Complete the Qualifying Party Certificate
   • Fill out the Work Experience Certificate
     Keep in mind that the Water Well Pump Installer (ES-10) License requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
2. Send the complete documents and application fees to PSI©:

4. After passing the examination, candidates must gather the following list of documents:

   • Contractor License Form
   • CID Contractor License Code Bond
   • Qualifying Party Certificate
   • Proof of Financial Responsibility Bond
   • Proof of current New Mexico Tax ID number application with a registration certificate or official stamp.
