The Tanks and Tower (GF-7) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

Construct or fabricate on-site and install tanks for the storage of solids or liquids, above or below ground, and towers such as:
- Television and telecommunications towers
- Radio
- All necessary site work
Excavation and construction of concrete tanks
Engineered structural support systems for elevated tanks
Pads and foundations
Cutting
Welding
Placement of structural members
Engineered or prefabricated towers
Repair and placement of liners in tanks
Incidental storage buildings

How to Get the Tanks and Tower (GF-7) Contractor License in New Mexico?

Meet the experience requirement:
- At least two years of documented experience in the Tanks and Tower (GF-7) Contractor field.
Apply for eligibility through PSI©.
- Fill out the Qualifying Party Certificate.
- Complete the Work Experience Certificate.

- To apply online, the candidates must:

  3. Choose the corresponding examination and add the social security number.
  4. Pay for and schedule the exam.
- To apply by mail or fax:
  1. Open and check the General Construction Candidate Information Bulletin.
  2. Fill out the New Mexico Contractor Examination Registration Form.

Take and pass the following examinations:
- New Mexico Tanks and Tower (GF-7) Contractor Trade Exam.
- New Mexico CORE (GF) Contractor Trade Exam.
- New Mexico Business and Law Examination (PSI©).
After passing the examination, complete the Application for Contractor License and the Construction Industries Division Contractor License Code Bond.

- Valid Qualifying Party Certificate
