New Mexico Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Electrical Wiring 5000 Volts, Nominal, or Less (EE-98) Contractor License
The Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Electrical Wiring 5000 Volts, Nominal, or Less (EE-98) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:
- All electrical systems and wiring methods operating at 5000 volts, nominal, or less
- Electrical systems and wiring methods identified in electrical specialty classifications (ES-1) Electrical Signs and Outline Lighting, (ES-2) Cathodic Protection and Lightning Protection Systems, (ES-3) Low Voltage Special Systems (under 50 Volts), and (ES-7) Telephone Communication Systems and Telephone Interconnect Systems, (ES-10R) Residential Water Well Pump Installer, or (ES-10) Water Well Pump Installer, residential electrical systems and wiring methods identified in classification (ER-1) Residential Electrical Wiring
- Trenching and ductwork associated with classification EL-1
- Compacting for all electrical systems and wiring methods of 5000 volts, nominal or less
- Excavating
- Trenching
- Boring
- Shoring
Does not include electrical wiring defined in the EL-1 classification other than trenching and duct work as specified.
In order to get this license, the candidate should take and pass the following three-part examination:
Residential and Commercial Electrical Part 1 (Commercial and Industrial) (EE-98)
Residential and Commercial Electrical Part 2 (Residential) (EE-98)
Residential and Commercial Electrical Part 3 (Specialties) (EE-98)
