The Framing (GS-13) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

Cut, join, and install wood, metal, or other products approved by the division and utilized for the framing and repair of a structure or building, including:
- Bearing walls
- Non-bearing walls
- Rafters
- Headers
- Trusses
- Joists
- Studs
- Door and rough window frames
- Roof decks

How to Get the Framing (GS-13) Contractor License in New Mexico?

Meet the experience requirement:
- At least two years of documented experience in the Framing (GS-13) Contractor field.
Apply for eligibility through PSI©.
- Fill out the Qualifying Party Certificate.
- Complete the Work Experience Certificate.

Once the documents and the eligibility have been approved, schedule and pay for the examination.
- To apply online, the candidates must:
  1. Sign in or create an account on the PSI© official website.
  2. Enter zip code for exam locations.
  3. Choose the corresponding examination and add the social security number.
  4. Pay for and schedule the exam.
- To apply by mail or fax:
  1. Open and check the General Construction Candidate Information Bulletin.
  2. Fill out the New Mexico Contractor Examination Registration Form.
  3. Pay the fees and send the documents via mail or fax to:

- New Mexico Business and Law Examination (PSI©)
After passing the examination, complete the Application for Contractor License and the Construction Industries Division Contractor License Code Bond.

- CID Contractor License Code Bond
- Valid Qualifying Party Certificate
- Examination Passing Scores.
- Proof of Financial Responsibility Bond
