Install, alter, repair, service, or maintain water-based fire protection systems required pressure or storage tanks
Tanks, controls, and control wiring up to 24 volts
Excavate, backfill and install piping from structure to off-site water supply adjacent to fire protection system property
Bid or contract for structural alterations, electrical wiring, etc.

How to Get the Fire Protection Systems (MS-12) Contractor License in New Mexico?

Satisfy the experience requirement:
- At least four years of documented Fire Protection Systems (MS-12) Contractor experience
Take and pass the following exams:
- New Mexico Fire Protection Systems (MS-12) Contractor Trade Exam
- New Mexico Business and Law Examination (PSI©)
Submit a complete notarized package with the following documents and send it to PSI©:

Once the application packet has been approved and eligibility cleared, the license will be issued via USPS to the home address provided. (Licenses are effective only for three years, and a Contractor License Renewal Form must be submitted prior to expiration during each cycle).
