New Mexico Electrical Signs and Outline Lighting (ES-1) Contractor License

The Electrical Signs and Outline Lighting (ES-1) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

  • Includes commercial electrical wiring methods of 5000 volts, nominal or less, required to complete the installation of the sign or outline lighting where a “sign circuit” or outline lighting circuit has been provided within 10 feet of the roof or wall of the structure supporting the sign or outline lighting
  • Concrete for the foundation of poles
  • Build structures to support signs associated with excavating, trenching, boring, shoring, backfilling, and compacting
  • Installation of underground electrical wiring methods of 5000 volts, nominal, or less required to complete the “sign circuit” installation not to exceed 10 feet from the foundation of the sign
