The Cathodic Protection and Lightning Protection Systems (ES-2) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

• Interior and exterior cathodic protection and lightening protection systems at commercial and residential locations
• Electrical wiring methods of 5000 volts
• Nominal or less required to complete a cathodic grounding protection system only
• May not install the service riser, main service, or service grounding

How to Get the Cathodic Protection and Lightning Protection Systems (ES-2) Contractor License in New Mexico?

1. Apply for eligibility throughPSI©:
   
   • Complete the Qualifying Party Certificate
   • Fill out the Work Experience Certificate
     The Cathodic Protection and Lightning Protection Systems (ES-2) Contractor License requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
2. Send the complete documents and application fees to PSI©:

3. When approved by PSI©, apply for the Cathodic Protection and Lightning Protection Systems (ES-2), and Business and Law examinations:
   • To submit an application online:
     1. Register or sign in at PSI©
     2. Select the exam and add the Social Security Number
     3. Pay the fee and schedule the examination
   • To register by mail or fax:
     1. Complete the New Mexico Contractor Examination Registration Form
     2. Pay the exam fee and send all documents to PSI©:

4. After passing the examinations, candidates must gather the following list of documents:
   • Exam Passing Scores
   • Contractor License Form
   • CID Contractor License Code Bond
   • Qualifying Party Certificate
   • Proof of Financial Responsibility Bond
   • Proof of current New Mexico Tax ID number application with a registration certificate or official stamp.
