Nevada Farm Irrigation (A18) Contractor License

The Farm Irrigation (A18) Contractor License allows you to do the following work:

Excavate, fabricate, install, alteration, and repair of:
- Pipes
- Pumps
- Fixtures
- Any other material and equipment used in or incidental to systems for irrigating crops

How to Get a Nevada Farm Irrigation (A18) Contractor License?

Obtain a Nevada Business ID before filling out the Contractor Application. In order to get the business ID, contact the Nevada Secretary of State to complete the application for a Nevada State Business License
Gather all the needed documents by the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) to submit with the application:
- Experience Documentation
- Copies of driver's licenses or government-issued IDs
- History of past and current employment
- Submit a check, cashier's check, or money order payable to NSCB
- Background Disclosure Statement
- Fingerprint Background Waiver forms
- Financial Statement
- Child Support Information Statement– Sole Proprietors ONLY
- Provide a Signature on the application where requested
Complete the Work Experience Certificate Form to provide information about your past work history
- Proof of eligibility for Licensure by Endorsement. Applicants are advised to review the State Equivalency Chart to determine their eligibility
- Four years of experience as a journeyman, foreman, supervision employee, or contractor in the specific classification requested within 15 years of filing this application
- Four (4) Certification of Work Experience Forms (Certificates) for EACH Trade Qualifier
- The total time of experience with all certificates combined must be a minimum of 4 years (1460 days), meaning that each certificate does NOT have to demonstrate four years of experience
- Proof of transferable military training and experience
- An active Master's Certification issued by an officially recognized agent or governmental agency similar to the Farm Irrigation (A18) classification
Fulfill the Contractor License Application Form with the complete documentation
Expect an Eligibility Examination form AFTER application submission and employment history verification
Take and approve the Farm Irrigation (A18) trade exam and the Management Survey Business and Law CMS exam conducted by PSI©
Upon acceptance by the Nevada State Contractors Board, you must submit the License Bond mentioned on the approval letter and proof of Workers' Compensation Insurance
The Nevada State Contractors Board will send the Farm Irrigation (A18) contractor license to the address listed on the application
