A Miami Dade County Paving Engineering Contractor is an engineering contractor who has a qualifying agent with the experience and skill gained by not less than three (3) years as a general superintendent for an engineering contractor or education equivalent thereto, or a combination thereof, and qualified and certified to construct roads, airport runways, and aprons, parking lots, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, property line walls, storm drainage facilities and to perform the excavating, clearing and grading incidental thereto. A paving engineering contractor may not excavate for canals and lakes.
