2019-2020 Schedule for Florida State Exams*
General, Building, Residential, and Plumbing Exams (State)
Beginning August 2018: General, Building and Residential (contract administration and project management) examinations will be administered in computer-based testing format. Plumbing (trade knowledge) examinations will continue to be administered in paper and pencil format multiple times per year in Orlando only.

Tower Specialty, Demolition Specialty and Industrial Facilities Specialty, must pass the same General category examination of three parts: Contract Administration, Project Management and Business and Finance.

To schedule any computer based examination, you must wait 7-10 business days after submitting your application before calling Pearson VUE© at 888-204-6230.
All Other State Exams
All other state licenses (i.e. Mechanical, Class A Air Conditioning, Class B Air Conditioning, Commercial Pool, Gas Line,Glass and Glazing, Gypsum Drywall, Irrigation, Marine, Pollutant Storage, Residential Pool, Roofing, Service Pool, Sheet Metal, Solar, Specialty Structure, Underground Utilities, and ALL electrical trades) use a different testing company and do not follow a rigid schedule, which means you test whenever you are ready. The business portion of the exam also falls under this more flexible scheduling system. This provider is Pearson Vue (888-204-6230).
