The Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician License allows you to do the following:

• NFPA 10-accredited work involving portable fire extinguishers and their:
  • Installation
  • Certification
  • Maintenance
  • Improvement

How to Get the Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician License in West Virginia?

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Select the desired trade(s) from the list of Fire Protection licenses, and fill out the application form for Fire Protection Workers
3. Pay the stipulated license and application review fees (only checks or money orders are accepted for payment)
4. Include and send all relevant employment history, credentials, and supporting paperwork with your application to:

5. Acquire the license after approval of the West Virginia Fire Commission Office of the State Fire Marshal
