Florida County Master Sign Electrical License (Prometric©)

Includes the design plan, installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of electric conductors, raceways, and equipment associated with electric signs. The branch circuit supplying power to the sign shall originate from an existing disconnect or power outlet.

Some counties consider the Master category an actual contractor’s license (used to lawfully engage in contracting) and require taking and passing a business exam. Other counties simply consider the Master category as a step above Journeyman. In cases where the county of your choice does not allow Masters to engage in contracting, you will not be required to take the business exam.
