The City of Mexico Beach requires a permit for the following. If you are uncertain of permit requirements please contact us at Building Department. Building Permits are required for, but not limited to the following:

  • Concrete slabs
  • Deck
  • Demolition
  • Dock
  • Drywall
  • Duct work
  • Electrical
  • Gas
  • Generator
  • HVAC
  • In-Ground Pool
  • Mechanical
  • Modular Homes
  • New Building
  • Porch/Patio
  • Plumbing
  • Remodels & Renovations- Interior/ Exterior
  • Roof (new & re-roof)
  • Sea Wall
  • Walls
  • Window Replacement

Building Permit Application Checklist

The following is required to obtain a permit:

  • Homeowner Hold Harmless Agreement
  • Homeowners Disclosure Statement CH.489.10FS
  • Driveway/Ditch Permit Application if Required
  • Site plan
  • 2 Complete Sets of Plans Including:
  • Complete Building Permit Application
  • Energy Forms
  • Notice of Commencement
  • Flood Elevation Certificate
  • All Applicable Fee Paid and Building Permit Fee
