In the City of Hialeah, all applicants requesting a building permit must fill out a permit application with proof of the following:

• License and registration with Dade County and the State of Florida
• Pay a nonrefundable yearly administration fee of $25.00 to meet our City records
• Insurance certificate addressed to the City of Hialeah Gardens showing expiration date (must be original)

In the City of Hialeah, a permit is needed for the following trades:

• Plumbing/Gas
• Paving
• Drainage
• Sign
• Roofing

In the City of Hialeah, the following types of improvements require permits:

• New construction
• Addition Attached
• Addition Detached
• Alteration Interior
• Alteration Exterior
• Repair/Replace
• Repair Due to Fire
• Demolition
