The scope of such work does not include direct connections to a sanitary sewer system or potable water lines. The installation, construction, modification, or replacement of equipment permanently attached to and associated with the pool or spa for the treatment or cleaning of pool or spa water requires a license; however, the use of such equipment for water treatment or cleaning purposes shall not require a license unless the use involves the construction, modification, or replacement of such equipment. Water treatment does not require such equipment, it does not require a license. In addition, a license will not be required to clean the pool or spa in any way that does not affect the structural integrity of the pool or spa or its associated equipment.
