As of July 1, 2021, Hillsborough County no longer requires a Painting Contractor license concerning the new House Bill 735. You can find the House bill by visiting https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/735.

This bill is subject to change after 2023 but can also be kept in place for a more extended period.

The schedule you see above is an in-person review class covering Business, Accounting, Trade math, and How to find information within the books. These in-person classes are accessed through the purchase of at least one online course. The online courses consist of Lecture videos, Layout studies, and Practice exams for each reference. To become a General Contractor, you must pass a Trade and Business Exam. We offer the book and classes to better prep you for the exam. Our online courses include lecture videos, practice questions, and how to find answers in your books. Our classes are $599 for the trade and $299 for the business. You have unlimited access to the course material and can take your time to study.

To become a General Contractor, you need to have at least four years of experience in the trade. Out of those four years, one of them needs to be a foreman.

Hi Aleksandr ! For Charlotte County, you have the option to test with GITS© or Prometric© in order to obtain your license. We offer books and courses under both testing companies.
